This class will walk you through the process and steps needed to create a textured, water distressed furniture finish.
This course is designed so that you can paint along with a small furniture piece following the videos and get similar results. We created this course to be as close to an in-person experience as possible. Please review the supply list using colors and items as close to what is recommended as possible.
This class will help you get beautiful results with the help of our all natural DIY clay based paint, water and waxes. This finish will show how easy it is to achieve an organic distressed finish with out the need of sand paper or a sander.
DIY clay paint is highly pigmented, it can be heavily diluted without separation and is easily reactivated with water. Painting furniture can completely transform a piece that would otherwise be overlooked or discarded and bring a beautiful high end look into your space.
This tutorial is a great way to gain confidence for bigger pieces. You will be able to achieve beautiful finishes in a variety of colors with these basic skills. Our goal is to teach you step by step, the basic principles of creating a textured water distressed finish. Our unique paints designed for getting beautiful organic results over and over again , with endless combinations, colors and possibilities. In this class you will learn, . *Painting a Textured Distressed Blended Paint finish with Water. -We will be highlighting how to get a beautiful organic distressed finish using clay paints, if you don't have access to DIY CLAY paints you can use similar colors from a different brand but results can vary a lot depending on products used. Paint formulas are different and act differently, depending on the ingredients.
DIY Paint has very high clay content, 5 times pigmentation than most formulas and just nine ingredients. DIY Clay Paint contains no latex , plastic or acrylic.
DIY Paint is the closest formulation to the way paint was made in antiquity. When attempting to create a vintage paint finish results will be much better if using a vintage paint formula. We do encourage you to use as many of our paint colors as possible because they are very different and will give you unique results like no other paint, however you can use other paints or a mix of several types of paint and learn a lot!
